Mini-grid
Mini-Grid Solutions for Rural, Industrial and Off-Grid Power in Nigeria
Solar and storage mini-grids for villages, mining sites, farms and remote industrial operations — including delivery under Nigeria’s rural electrification programs.
The problem with no grid
An off-grid system only works if someone can maintain it. Distance is the real enemy — not technology.
- Millions of Nigerian households and businesses operate without reliable grid supply
- Diesel-only generation is expensive, noisy and prone to fuel supply disruption
- Extending the grid to remote sites is often economically unviable
- Off-grid systems need maintenance capability nearby — not a distant supplier

What we deliver
Generation, storage, distribution and maintenance — designed as one system.
Three types of mini-grid
Different loads, different designs.
Village Mini-Grids
Whole-community solar and storage supply covering households, small shops and agricultural cold chain.
Industrial Off-Grid Mini-Grids
Independent supply for mining sites, remote processing plants and plantations — removing diesel dependence entirely.
Hybrid Storage Mini-Grids
Solar, storage and backup diesel operating in intelligent coordination with fully automatic switching and unmanned operation.
Engineered for remote operation

Design
Demand assessment and full system engineering.
Build
Generation, storage and distribution constructed on site.
Maintain
Remote monitoring with local maintenance coverage.

Frequently asked questions
Can a mini-grid cover productive uses, not just lighting?
Yes. Systems are sized for agricultural cold chain, processing and small business loads where the site requires it.
What happens if generation is low for several days?
Hybrid configurations include backup generation with automatic switching to cover extended low-irradiance periods.
Who maintains the system?
SOLANOVA provides remote monitoring plus local maintenance under an O&M agreement.
Do you work with government and development programmes?
Yes. We support programme-linked electrification projects.
